The goal of my project is to humanize the homeless population — that is, bring to light the adversity they face, the dreams they have, and the different positions they've been in over the years. I had the opportunity to interview six individuals who want their voices to be heard. Whether they are currently homeless or have been in their past, I believe it is crucial to communicate their stories and perspectives. In doing so, I discovered how unique these individuals are to one another. Each of them are so richly complex and distinctive, but perhaps what grounded me the most was the remarkable hope they exhibited.
